What’s a Sherlockian?

I’ve always enjoyed watching Sherlock Holme’s dramas new and old. It’s rather sad though, to admit that I’ve only ever read A Study in Scarlet. Now that I’m in recovery mode, I’ve chosen to soak my eyes and brain in the deep fathoms of the Sherlock Holmes canon. Oh boy.

It will be slow going, but I love the world it is set in and I love the characters. If I get stumped or confused by the story there are countless websites, videos and podcasts to help me out.

Additionally, I was thrilled to learn about the Toronto based Sherlock fan group called the The Bootmakers of Toronto, based around an important reference within the story The Hounds of the Baskervilles. I’ve joined their Facebook group, but I’m not as knowledgeable or well versed in the Sherlockian verbiage as many of the group are. I highly doubt my grammar even passes the fifth grader test.

Putting all my doubts aside, I’m committed to reading and enjoying each aspect of my Holmes education.
