365 Days of Sound Exploration

Today I completed a drone track that I was satisfied enough with that it set a whole project in motion.

Over this next year, my focus will be to open my musical heart to the craft of building sonic experiences that tie into meaningful narratives and questions. Note, these are not your standard radio friendly song structures. Radio? Who ever heard of a radio!

I will release tracks on the Voltsmyth Bandcamp page as they are completed. They will also make their way to the streaming platforms. There will be no set number of tracks, only a promise to continue this pattern until the end of the year.

There will be accompanying videos for each track posted on the Voltsmyth YouTube channel.

Although experimental music is no everyone’s cup of tea, I have found it to be freeing and inspiring. I have actual become more musically active as a result. I also really enjoy exploring video treatments as I create a matching video accompaniment to each track.

I have finished four tracks so far, so at that rate I might be able to upload one track per month, but that’s not a rule.
