How dare They try to control me! 

 Acronyms, acronyms, everywhere. 

English is not my father’s first language, but he does quite well. That is until he runs into an acronym. It’s then that his questions start.

I make best efforts to explain what a particular acronym means, but it just doesn’t stick in his mind. I’m uncertain if this is a common issue with other people attempting to learn English as a second language. 

I haven’t researched it, but it makes me wonder how many other languages spit out acronyms as fast as English users do.
