Slowly Moving Into Spring

 

Freeze, Thaw, Freeze, Repeat.

Entering the last week of April, 2023, we eagerly look forward to the day when we can finally turn off the furnace and open our windows. Spring in Ontario has always been a freeze, thaw, freeze experience. I feel pity for the birds, wildlife and flowers.  

Mar 20, 2023 marked the first day of Spring, but in theory only. We were spoiled by a beautiful week of warm weather for the opening week of April, but this gift was quickly rescinded. Being thrust back into repetitively cold days and nights. 

Due to my exposure to too much sci-fi storytelling, I envision a scenario of undeniable climate change where our weather stays as such, dreary, chill and rainy. Our post global virus suffering continues without any signs of improving.
